    A little bit merry

English is a crazy language because there are hundreds of ways to say one get drunk. As I knew yesterday, one can even create words for getting drunk. The fomat is very simple: firstly pick a word randomly such us window, glass or desk. Then the only thing you need to do is adding '-ed' to the word's end. For example, one may say ' Oh, I've drunk too much! I'm windowed.' or 'You can't drink anymore. You've already desked.' That's funny, isn't it.
If one only gets slight drunk, he may say 'I'm a little bit merry.' I actually was a little bit merry yesterday because of the Vodka. I bought a bottle of vodka, not that strong only 22.5%. However I'm buzy with my reports these days which makes my lonely vodka keep standing on the top of bookshelf for years. Yesterday Dan and Peter were watching TV in the common room when I passed by. I wanted to join them. I noticed that each of them holding a can of lager. From where can I get a can of lager immediately? The nearst shop will take me about10 minutes' walk to get there. When I was struggling with the solution, I suddenly realized I got a bottle of Vodka in my room. Vodka in hand I walked into the common room and was warmly welcomed by them. I learnt a lesson from that: if you want to have a informal conversation with the local, please remember to bring you with alcohol. JUst for fun;)

    The Second Last Lap

2 reports,  both are thousands of words stuff. They should be finished before 18th Feb. That's not easy. I have to do many research and lots of reading. The first report is about designing a training programme for 15 newly promoted managers, which I have finished the majority of it. However everytime I read it, many errors and mistakes appear. I have to correct them, which will take me 1 hour or more.  It is said that the competition in a long distance event only gets tougher and thicker once the runners are into the last lap. Next week will be the last lap for my reports and I'm running the second last. There are only two competitors in this race: reports and myself.

I need help. But before I can find someone who can help me, I should stand up with my own feet. Maybe a different perspective of reports may help ease my stress. By producing reports, I can learn something. How to gather useful information; how to structure the information; and how to be patient.

The movie Hours impressed me by the line:

'No matter what kinds of live is it, face it; no matter what kinds of life you are facing, love it.' Maybe it is a little bit paraphrased by me. The general ideal would be face your life. Yes, between avoidance and embrase, the latter option would always be the better one. So I'm learning to embrace examination, not fear them.

The wonderful Chinese New Year is around the corner. I wish you a most exciting celebration! My mom called me yesterday, she told me it took her nearly a whole day to decorate the home with flowers, oranges and 'red packets'. Oh, how sweet. It's really a pity that I'm not in China. But anyway I will celebrate it with my Chinese friends.

    Leaves

    Leaves
